What are The Advantages of Waterloov^®?
The advantages of Waterloov^® are several fold:
1. There are two rows of interspersed louvers, any water missed by the first row of louvers is caught by the second row of louvers.
2. There's a wall of protection--only 1/4" high--that keeps debris from being blown in or washed in from the gutter lip.
3. There are no openings large enough for birds to gain access into the gutter.

How About Durability and Fallen Tree Limbs?
Waterloov^® is made from minimally .024" metal and for the most part our products are made of .027" and .032" which means it's pretty strong. The panel, like a shock absorber, can absorb the impact from a relatively large limb and protect the gutter from being destroyed. To replace, it's a simple matter of removing three screws, taking out a 3' length of panel, replacing it and you're back in service. However, with the all-in-one gutter protectors, if any part is destroyed, the whole length must be replaced which becomes laborious and expensive.

What About Roof Grit?
Because of how the water is admitted to the gutter, any roof grit, as well as any other small debris, that gets through the discriminating louvers, is swirled along the gutter and down the downspout. It never accumulates in the gutter as long as the gutter is minimally pitched to drain dry. Since 1989 we find grit deposited in low spots of the gutter to create a false bottom and the gutters stay free flowing. How Many Colors and How Do You Decide?
The standard colors are white, royal brown, cream, bronze, musket brown, territone, black, light gray, dark gray, clay, and ivory Aside from that just about every color available (sandcastle, eggshell, wicker, tiel, forest green, red, brandy wine), and copper metal as opposed to aluminum. Generally homeowners feature the product as a molding by choosing a color to match the gutter color, or they choose a color to blend in with the roof to render it almost invisible, or they choose a completely contrasting color to emphasize the system.

How is Waterloov^® Different from Screens?
Typically screens are flat and made of aluminum, metal, steel, or plastic. The common thing with all of them is that they have openings on the top surface. WaterFall, also known as PermaFlow, instead of being flat, has steps, but it's still a screening device because the openings are in the top horizontal surface. Debris lies on top where it dries out, mulches with falling rain and either clogs the screen or washes into the gutter and clogs it. Thus either the screens and/or gutters have to be cleaned manually. It's usually more work to remove screens and clean gutters and replace them than it is to simply clean the gutter without screening.
On the other hand, Waterloov^® has no openings in the top surface that can clog .Screens are not maintenance free, however every product on the market works; what's important to know is how much work the homeowner needs to do to keep them working. So screens need to be inspected routinely, at least twice per year, once after the spring season and once after the fall season. They need to be cleaned off, sometimes they need to be removed, gutters cleaned, then replaced. Screens should be also inspected after every rainstorm with heavy winds as the wind can dislodge them. For that matter, a squirrel or raccoon can jump on them and cause them to collapse too.

How is Waterloov^® Attached to the Roof ?
Waterloov slides in between the first course and undercourse of shingles, no nails, screws or fasteners of any nature are ever placed through the panel itself. Waterloov^® gets tucked in under the front lip of the gutter and it can easily be taken in or out without having to remove any nails or fasteners whatsoever.

Does Waterloov^® Give Any Protection Against Osmosis?
Because Waterloov^® covers the top of the gutter, ice that would normally fill the gutter and be in contact with the fascia board where osmosis could occur, is no longer present. In the harshest environment, the leaders may freeze solid, but the gutter never fills with ice above the gutter line, thus protecting the fascia board and rafter ends from osmosis (the absorption of water into the wood fibers that causes rot).

Do Icicles Form?
In freezing climates with homes that have inadequate insulation or ventilation, icicles may form. These icicles generally form with or without gutter protectors. In any event, they can easily be knocked off with a telescopic pole and brush assembly.

Any Problems With Ice Dams?
No gutter protector causes ice dams. Heat escaping through the roof because of inadequate insulation or ventilation melts snow on the roof which runs down the roof. When this water from the melted snow crosses over the eve line (where there is no heat loss), it freezes and the build-up of ice causes a dam effect. This dam of ice can be 6-to-8 inches in height and trap melted snow (water) on the roof. It is a misconception that ice creeps up the roof. In actuality, this trapped water simply seeps under the shingles and through inherent openings left from nailing the shingles. Ice dams are also more likely to occur in homes where attics house uninsulated vents from bathrooms, kitchens or heat pumps. Insulation should be in the attic floor and not block off the rafter ends through which soffit vents allow cold air to flow in and up through the attic space and out roof vents. Gable vents should be closed in winter as they can short circuit the ventilation from the soffits and contribute to creating ice dams. It's proven that homes with proper insulation and ventilation do not form ice dams or icicles.

How Does One Know When Maintenance is Required?
It's pretty easy and simple. With all other products you can't tell what's going on inside and you don't know until water is coming over and your basement is flooded and you've sustained a lot of damage. The debris gets in and clogs up the gutter. The only place Waterloov can ever clog is right out front where it's visible. The homeowner gets out his pole and brush, puts on his suit and tie--we tease about that because it's not a dirty job. Our competitors poke fun at us saying "you have to use the pole and brush," but that's all our homeowners need. Within five minutes they can completely service all their gutters whereas if they had one of the competing products, they have to get on the telephone, wait for a serviceman to come out and then get hit with a hidden charge--because this usually isn't free, Our competitors do charge anywhere from $100-to-300 to clean out their gutters. This is never encountered with Waterloov^® customers.

How do Homeowners Feel About Doing Suit & Tie Maintenance?
Usually these are customers who normally have to clean their gutters 4-to-5 times in the fall and maybe 2-or-3 times in the spring. So for them to not have to change clothes, get the ladder out, fight the bees and stagnant water, they love it.

Can Waterloov^® Be Installed on Existing Gutters?
Basically, 80% of all installations go on existing gutters, the only time new gutters are recommended is if they are pitted and are beginning to leak, beat up and bent or very unsightly, i.e., you're installing a brand new beautiful system and why put it on unsightly green moldy gutters.

Can Birds or Squirrels Get In?
They may get through vinyl, or roofing, but they have never gotten through Waterloov.

How About Mosquitoes?
Mosquitoes breed in stagnant water that could be outside your bedroom window. There are two sources of stagnant water in your gutters:
1. dammed up water from clogged downspouts.
2. Low spots in your gutter because of

improper installation
location of downspouts with respect to inside/outside corners cause low spots
elevation problems from new additions
sinking foundations

Often times gutters can be readjusted to eliminate puddles, but sometimes they simply can not be readjusted.
Cleaning gutters eliminates the first source of stagnant water, however, the gutters may require cleaning on a monthly basis to keep them free flowing. If the reason for puddles is because of one or more of the second reasons, then cleaning gutters alone may be ineffectual against keeping mosquitoes from breeding in gutters.

How Easy is it to Install Waterloov^®?
It's very easy to install and generally one man can install it in one day.

We begin by blowing the gutters clean at no charge. If necessary, they are cleaned by hand or with water. The down spouts are checked to make sure they're clean and if they're not, they are disassembled and cleaned out.
The gutter system is inspected to make sure it is tight. Spikes are tightened and additional hangers installed if necessary. If any leaks have been identified by the customer prior to installation they are repaired by cleaning the seam and caulking it. This is all part of the original pricing.
Next is to install the gutter protector. It's slid up under the shingles, tucked under the front lip of the gutter and a corrosion resistant screw goes right in there to hold it in place and this is done for the entire length of the gutter. Wherever we have inside corners, or outside corners, it's custom fabricated right on the spot. Where the gutter comes to an end, you have an end cap that looks like this, an end cap is fabricated, closed off from behind so birds or squirrels can't gain entrance.
Lastly, any debris that may be blown onto the ground is blown free of walkways and decking. Our goal is to leave the premises as, neat if not neater than, we found it. Any scrap material that is produced as a result of customizing and installing the Waterloov^®, and anything that falls to the ground, is also removed.

Is Collecting Water From Valleys a Problem?
Typically with all gutter protectors a diverter is needed. The water from the valley has to be diverted, otherwise it will all overflow. Our competition limits themselves generally to a short section of solid diverter which generally fall down in service in that much of the water is admitted at the end of the diverter and floods over the collectors onto the ground. Waterloov^® uses a system that's far more sophisticated than our competitors. In addition to the solid diverter, Waterloov^® uses a distributor with diamond shaped openings to admit water gradually (spread the water out a further distance), insuring that practically all the water is captured.
We also have Valley Fall ^™ which is the answer for valleys that always clog with debris or the valley may be too high to maintain with the pole and brush assembly. Valley Fall is light years ahead of any method of water collection in valleys.

Does Waterloov^® Require Clips or a Break-in Period?
Contrary to a lot of products on the market that are installed with clips or clipped to the gutter, i.e., Gutter ? (the one whose name we're not allowed to mention made by the multi billion dollar company, Hart and Cooley, Inc.), Leaf Proof, and Elko Gutta Guard, Waterloov^® has no clips. High winds can often dislodge clips and render the protector useless. Waterloov^® hard fastens the panel to the underside of the gutter lip with corrosion resistant screws so they never can work loose, collapse, or fall into the gutter.
Waterloov^® requires no break-in period. As soon as Waterloov^® is installed, it'll catch every drop no matter how hard it rains, as opposed to a product like LeafProof which requires a break-in period or treatment with titanic acid (an ingredient in coffee).

Does Waterloov^® Work with Different Types of Gutters?
Waterloov^® is the most flexible product in the world. It works with all types and sizes of guttering, i.e., standard 5", 6", and 7" K style gutter. It can be adapted to work with plastic guttering that has a straight wall in the front, wood gutters, fascia board gutters, round lip copper or steel gutters. It can be adapted to work with Victorian homes that have the built-in Yankee gutters. There is no gutter that this product can't be adapted to, whereas, the clips used by competitors only fit the 5" or 6" K gutter.

Can Waterloov^® Be Installed on Different Types of Roofing and Roof Pitches?
Waterloov^® is indeed the most flexible product in the world. Not only can it not be installed on all types of guttering, it can be installed on all roof types and roof pitches. Many of the competing products, if you look at the fine print, will recommend that it not be used on pitches greater than 12 on 12--that's 12" in and up 12" to get the slope--or less than 4 on 12--that's 12" in and 4" up--a light pitched roof. The beautiful thing about Waterloov^® is that it'll work on anything from a flat roof to a mansard roof and anything in between. A mansard roof is a very steeply pitched roof, almost like a vertical wall. And not only can it be used on regular seal tab shingles, which are kind of the standard of the industry, it can be used with the timberline or scalloped type of shingles; it can be used with barrel or square tile roofing, wood shingle, metal, standing seam, corrugated, flat roofs with or without drip edging, roll roofing--all kinds of roofing.

Are there any Product Guarantees That Come with Waterloov^®?
Waterloov^® has the strongest product guarantees there are. It has a performance warranty and a material guaranty. The material guarantee is 20 years against the paint chipping, cracking or peeling. The performance warranty is that the homeowner's gutters will remain free flowing for as long as she/he owns the home. Additionally, where desired, Waterloov^® can guarantee that gutters treated and protected with Waterloov^® will never breed mosquitoes.

How About if You Don't Need the Best Product, Say You Really Don't Have a Heavy Debris Problem?
